Patong
Beach The most popular and well-developed beach on Phuket Island. Long recognized as one of the world's Top 10 diving sites, Phuket is now Thailand's most important tourist destination, offering a variety of beaches, attractions and exciting night life. It is the main tourist resort in Phuket and contains the centre of Phuket's nightlife and fantastic shopping on the island. Karon Beach Karon Beach is one of the best beaches for water fun. Here the sea is calm throughout the dry season and the sand is fine and powdery. Karon Beach has merged with Kata Beach to the south and now resembles a quieter version of Patong Beach. Dino Park miniature golf is located between these beaches. Kata & Kata Noi Beach The beach itself is broad and curving, and structures bordering it are low–rise. The waters are perfect for swimming, and at the north end is a coral reef with many varied corals and fishes which stretches out toward Poo Island., about 1/2 km off shore. Kata Noi, a smaller beach with only a few hotels and little other development. The beach is superb. Many fish inhabit the rocks and corals along the beach less shoreline stretching south. Kamala Beach Located on Phuket's west coast, just north of Patong, it's less hectic that its neighbour. Formerly a quiet, fishing village, Kamala is a beautiful spot in which to relax and enjoy the still peaceful village atmosphere of this scenic, unspoiled beach. The area behind the beach has developed over the last few years giving a greater choice of local places to eat and drink. More secluded resorts nestle higher up amongst the trees on the headland, capitalising on the wonderful sea and mountain views, and only a few minutes walk to a sandy white beach on the northern end. Nai Harn Beach South of Kata Beach and north of Promthep Cape, Naiharn is not Phuket's longest beach, but it borders the most gorgeous lagoon on the island. The middle of the beach is dominated by the Samnak Song Nai Han monastery, which has obstructed excessive development and is the reason that the beach is generally less crowded than other spots on the southern part of the island. Phi Phi Islands Koh Phi Phi (Phi Phi Island) consists of two islands, Phi Phi Don, the larger one of the two with an abundance of fine beaches and accommodation to suit all needs. The island offers a wide range of activities, including rock climbing, diving and snorkeling. The more geographically dramatic, Phi Phi Leh, with its cliffs, natural caves and water-filled canyon offers the tourists exciting and outdoor pursuits. Both islands are in the Andaman sea, on the west coast of Thailand amongst breathtaking lime rock formations, are the beautiful twin islands of Koh Phi-Phi. Similan Islands The Similan Islands, located about one hundred kilometers northwest of Phuket, are composed of nine granite islands covered in tropical jungle, washed by a clear blue tropical ocean and blessed with some of the world's finest beaches. With group of 9 small islands 50 kilometers off the west coast of Phang-Nga in the Andaman Sea. Surin Islands Surin Island is an invaluable site of natural heritage, not just the destination for tourists to exploit for their own pleasure. As well as exhibiting a mixture of forest types, it is also the crossover between tropical forest and the coral reef, and is therefore and excellent source of knowledge for nature lovers. The area boasts a rich bio-diverstiy that ranges form the largest fish in the world, the Whale Shark, to rare birds such as the Beach Thick-Knee and the Nicobar Pigeon. Khai Nok Island We would like to offer you to the tranquil Khai Island, one of the spectacular island. It is one and half kilometers long. Just 20 minutes from Phuket Island by speedboat, the island have beautiful coral, fine white sandy and surround with clear water. Suitable for a day trip go sunbathing and snorkeling. Mai Ton Island This tiny island off Phuket's southeast coast is highly prized for its still perfect natural environment, including fine white beaches and crystal waters - ideal for swimming, diving, or fishing. |
